FLOCKING CHRISTMAS TREES
Our flocking process is exclusively performed at our San Martin facility. We take pride in making each tree look custom and unique. Among the spices and sizes of trees we will have in our walk up selection is a variety of species. Our team can custom flock any tree that you choose from Battaglia Ranch. We do not however flock any trees purchased elsewhere.
THE SCIENCE OF FLOCKING
How exactly does flocking work? In essence, flocking involves the attachment of tiny fibers to a surface to create texture (the process is also used for fashion, home décor, and crafts). In this recipe, pulp serves as fiber, corn starch is used as an adhesive, and boron functions as a flame retardant - there’s a safety benefit to flocking.

On the day you visit us, we have a full selection of flocked trees for you to take home.
When purchasing a specific tree and having it flocked, it will take at least 24 hours for the tree to be ready to go home.
These four styles can all be done with only WHITE flocking.

Color Enhanced Trees is a special coloring we apply to a specific tree. Unlike flocking a tree, the color will not add mass or volume to the tree needles.
We will have a very limited supply of colors, this year we will have the following colors - Royal Blue - White - Purple - Pink - Black - Teal |
